Every visit to Nigiri Station promises a unique and unforgettable experience, making each guest’s first time truly special. Well, let me share with you my experience as a first-timer here at NS, right in their Santo Domingo Branch at The Hood, Angeles City, Pampanga.
Yeah, I see the vibes!

As I approached the storefront, I don’t know, it gave me a familiar impression, like something I’ve seen before, probably on Takumi Fujiwara’s Trueno from Initial D. Maybe the owner was a big Initial D fan or something, but dang, that’s a nice touch! You can also take a look at that neon box at the side that was also nice to look at during daytime! Chef’s kiss to the exterior design NS!
Boy was I not prepared for the interior

So, up to the door I went, and I was immediately blown away by the vibes of this place. I mean, I saw this place before on TikTok but I can tell you that it is different in person! The ambience of the place was pretty cozy, and there were student patrons from nearby universities dining at the place.
What struck me the most was the lime washed walls of the place, as if it was an unfinished office space that was dropped due to a lack of funding, it was weird but aesthetically pleasing at the same time. Going back to the atmosphere, you could see people chatting around, and it had a pretty laid-back vibe, like a chill spot where you and your friends could truly hang out.
Time to Order!

Of course, I came down there to eat, and so to the counter I went. Man, I can tell you, the staff was pretty easygoing and laid-back. So, I browsed their menu and ordered what seemed familiar to my simple brain: SPAM. More specifically, I went for a Spam Onigiri because, well, you can never go wrong with Spam wrapped in rice and seaweed.
Munch Time

Alright, before I tackle my experience with the Spam Onigiri, I didn’t know that Nigiri Station had a backroom in their store! At first glance it looked like as if it was just a backroom for their staff but boy I was wrong. So, I went there to find a place to settle down and eat my order. Man, were the vibes more different in that room! It was as if I entered a secret hideout for an illegal business using Nigiri Station as a front.

Of course, what would Nigiri Station be without Onigiri? I would have to admit, I underestimated this bad boy. I went with the Spam Onigiri, and while it might be one of the simplest and most affordable options on the menu, it did not disappoint. The moment I took a bite, I got the salty taste of Spam, the mild sweetness of the rice, and the flavor of the seaweed wrap. It was compact and filling, proving that a good meal doesn’t have to be fancy.
10/10. A must for a second visit!

From the moment I walked up to the storefront to my first bite of Spam Onigiri, Nigiri Station delivered an experience that was both familiar and unexpected. The cool exterior, the laid-back yet lively atmosphere, and the surprising backroom all added to the charm of this spot. Whether you’re here for the food, the vibes, or just a chill hangout with friends, this place has something special to offer. Safe to say, this won’t be my last visit!
